Today we confirmed Moomin for 16.3. who has been declared as one of the best deep house newcommers in 2011. This was made apparent after his amazing debut album "The story about you" released on Smallville at the end of the year. Excited!

After six months break we are finally putting out the sixth musical installment by our meticulous producer Mesec. This could be perceived as dub step, however categorizing tracks into this simple box is highly inappropriate. This is experimental, glitchy, IDM and ambient release with minimalistic melodic structures, overwhelming sound signatures and processed vocals. Consider it as a whole and perfect listening for all seasons using all three tracks. Start with slight melancholy on “Windfall Teardrops”, continue with optimistically naïve “Sunchase” and finish with robotically mysterious “Forrest Droids”. Lovely.

Synaptic wraps up 2011
The end is near and at this occasion we would like to thank you for all the support shown in 2011. We wish that you will enjoy and musically explore 2012 as much as you did it this year!
In the following paragraphs we are outlining some memorable moments and hopefully you can find yourself at least in one of them to remember the good times.
As years before our main operations were held in Klub K4. The year started with DJ set from talented young producer Sven Weisemann (Mojuba, DE). Before the summer break we hosted legendary ARK (Perlon, FR) and for the second time our sweet Frivolous (Cadenza, CAN). A collaborative event was held in May with Kino Šiška where the Icelandic experimental drone-noise artist Ben Frost presented an exceptional music that blew us away. By no means this was the highlight of the first part of the year.
Second part of the year was even more exciting. We hosted Move D (Source, DE), Tom Ellis (Mindtours, UK), Christopher Rau (Smallville, DE) and finally Sutekh (Context, US). Sutekh is one of the most appreciated artists from our collective and we are content that a truly wondrous era of musical love in the last decade was wrapped by his performance.
Summer festival Chill & Grill 8 “urban edition” was held in Gala Hala, Metelkova and on a boat of Ljubljanica. It was a successful migration from previously established blissful forestall location.
Miligrami events are still continuing in Channel Zero, setting up foundations for future interactions. Our crew DJ’s were presenting Synaptic sound on other venues also. Collaborations were executed with Institute Jožef Štefan for project “Researchers night 2011”, Zeleni Zajec for numerous bar nights, brainstorms and the wall of fame, Colours crew and KrunchIt!! for common partying and Mimosa crew for event with Isolee.
Synaptic Pathways label was initiated at the end of 2010 and five releases were put out since. Artists Stanislav, Zoran Relic and Symann have produced single ep’s whereas N.M.S., Nitz, Mesec and Yanoosh contributed tracks for compilation Chill & Grill vol. 2.
Main focus for the upcoming 2012 is going to be about evolving and upgrading Synaptic Pathways label. We plan to continue with exciting events and first guest confirmed for 2012 is Thomas Brinkmann!

Kot že ime pove, osma edicija chill & grila vključuje selitev iz marginalnega okolja
dolenjskih travnikov v urbano jedro Ljubljane. Kljub temu, koncept Chill & Grilla ostaja
enak, saj je njegov glavni namen, povezovanje dnevnih in nočnih aktivnosti s skrbno
izbranimi glasbenimi gurmani, prostorsko neodvisen.
Letni vrt Gale Hale bo namenjen raznim družabnim aktivnostim, DIY delavnicam in
obveznemu grillanju. Za dodatne kulinarične ekscese bo poskrbela ekipa Prejk Müre,
ki z glasbenim gostom Yanooshem predstavlja tudi osrednjo točko prve tretjine
glasbenega dogajanja. Stilsko bo vrt usmerjen v umirjeno IDM godbo, glitch hop, chill
out in dub. Sledil bo prehod v Gala Halo, ki ga bo nakazal starešina Mique z mešanico
stilov nu disca, disca, deep housa, mikro housa ter raznih old school 4x4 raritet.
Variabilni house biti bodo tudi glavna tema plesišča Gale Hale, kjer bosta glavna gosta
Aneuria in Kaykay s posebnim deep vintage disco actom! Najbolj spočiti in zagreti se
ob zori selimo še na offical after splav, ki ga bo otvoril elementarni Schrauff z edgy
deep in dub technom.
Za vse »zgodnje« ob vstopu na Metelkovo čaka promo CD Chill & Grill vol. 2, kompilacija,
ki jo bo moč kupiti tudi na spletni založbi Synaptic Pathways.
Obenem najavljamo še nastop Synaptic ekipe na letošnjem Prejk Müre 2011 dogodku
(prejkmurje.si).

Synaptic crew wishes you plenty of happiness while listening to quality electronic music in 2011!
So, what were our highlights in 2010?
We presented a few highly diverse and interesting live acts: LUSINE(Ghostly), DAPAYK SOLO (Mo's Ferry) and Dr NOJOKE (Unoiki).
We successfully made the seventh edition of Chill & Grill summer festival. We launched a new web page, www.synaptic.cc and our label Synaptic Pathways's first release is coming out on 30.12.10 (Beatport). This is exactly one year after the Chill & Grill Various Artists compilation was released for Soul Industries.
We contributed to the »Geng Festival« project with KUD Grosuplje and did a series of events named »Sinaptični Prenosi« for the student association in Universiy of Primorska. We connected with Flow Management and participated in summer events in Club Terrace (Izola). We hooked up with the Colours team and started building collaborative events in Klub K4 as well as other venues.
We would also like to emphasize some of our breaktrough talents in 2010. Freeverse continued with a series of dubstep events with the KrunchIt!! Team, which shortly after launch, gained high quality underground reputation. Nitz did some awesome DJ sets and is being perceived as one of our most promising upcoming DJ's. Other crew members, DJ's Utti, Zergon, Splinterhouse, Jovan, Lux and VJ Mesec showed persistence and significant improvement in their skills. Symann (DJ Ulix) performed on some experimental music projects for Zeleni Zajec and Parovel events, started a DJ project with Ian F (Symann vs. Ian F) and maintained the collaboration with Schrauff for highly acclaimed Elements techno events. He continues to lead our crew in 2011.
And what are our goals in 2011?
We want to continue presenting a novel, groovy and deeper side of electronic music as well as focus more on the experimental part. We plan on booking some interesting artists and the first confirmed is Sven Weisemann (28.1.11). We will continue with events in Klub K4 and other venues. We are planning dozens of releases on our Synaptic Pathwayslabel as well as producing material for other labels. We will maintain the established collaborations and by means of synaptic diversity search for other crews or individuals who share our vision. For one more year music will lead us forward!
